STORY FROM THELMA AYELEY HEVI’S MUSIC COMPANY

Thelma Ayeley Hevi is a Ghanaian music star who is based in Bronx, NY.  She migrated to the US after her tertiary education.

She is a secretary by profession, but knew that she had something more to offer than that.  This was confirmed when one day during a church service whilst worship was deeply going on; she was led by the Holy Spirit to write down some words.  These words were not just mere words, but they were the beginning of new things and a testimony to the calling upon her life.  After the church service when she was going home, she heard the voice of the Lord saying to her “you will sing for me” and she replied “ I am not a singer” Shortly after that she went to a revival at Mount Horeb prayer camp in Ghana where a man of God told her that she was a singer.

From that time onwards she heard the Holy Spirit prompt her many times that she was a singer but she kept convincing herself that, that was not her calling but surprisingly, she found herself writing songs after songs. Thelma tried to follow her own dreams in the US, but she realized that things were not as smooth as she thought it would be.

So she sought the face of the Lord and the Lord clearly told her that “IF I ALLOW YOU TO GO TO WHERE YOU WANT TO GO, YOU CANNOT GET TO WHERE I WANT TO TAKE YOU”.  With this sure words from the Lord, Thelma finally accepted her calling and today we are all witnesses to what the Lord has done. She launched her debut CD album on the 21st of August 2010 at Royalhouse Chapel, New York Mission to the Glory of God.

Last week we promised to bring you update on the investigation involving the ‘strange’ death of Koo Fori’s wife, Mary Nana Aba Karikari who passed on about two weeks after she was operated on, during labour, at the Medifem Hospital & Fertility Centre, Dzorwulu in Accra.

Latest information reaching Hi Newspaper has it that three nurses of the above medical facility were last Friday invited to the Sakumo Police Station for questioning in relation to the investigation.

When Hi visited the Larshibi Funeral home in Accra where the body is been kept pending (investigation and) burial, we gathered that another autopsy test has been requested by Dery & Co, lawyers of the investigated Doctor Bamful of the said medical facility, who doubles as a top gynecologist at the 37 Military Hospital.

When we met with Koo Fori at Radio Gold on Monday, he asked that we waited till after the investigation or even after the burial for his comments: “Nothing would bring back my wife, not even the best of investigations. Moreover, I didn’t report the Doctor or the hospital to the police, the security people thought they saw the need for an investigation due to circumstances surrounding her death”, he said.

Last week, Hi newspaper broke the news that a post mortem report, according to our source, allegedly indicts one Dr. Bamful of negligence on duty while operating on Koo Fori’s wife during labour. “She suffered cardiovascular death among other explanations related to a blood vessel blockage”, Hi Newspaper learned.

Literally, according to our source, ‘almost all the waste that was supposed to be removed after birth was kept in the stomach, including the placenta”.

The late Mary Nana Aba Karikari, wife of comedian/broadcaster/actor radio presenter, Samuel Seth Kwabena Kyere Karikari aka Koofori, died on Saturday August 21, 2010.

A Plus was always the school entertainer and by the time he graduated, A Plus had made a decision to use his musical talent to get his message of equality and liberation for all to the masses.

A Plus has achieved fame in Ghana with such songs as a letter to Parliament, Ye Gon, Zilo, Mansa, Asem Kese, Igwe, Mirror Mirror and Two Paddies.

A Plus is now turning his attention to the Western World in ” A Letter to the West”. This song was written after he appeared in a World Bank documentary depicting how the Western World supports third world countries financially despite how the money is used. In the song, A Letter to the West, A Plus warns how innocent western world tax payer money is used to line the pockets of corrupt politicians who use these monies for guns and to perpetrate the atrocities committed against Africans ,namely the women and children.

The video for the song leaves you shaking your head wondering why human beings are treated in such a inhumane and despicable manner with nothing being done to bring an end to or discourage such crimes against the people of Africa.

A Plus strongly believes that as citizens of the world we must defend the defenseless as he is on a mission to bring awareness and solution to the desperate situation facing the people of Africa.

Its amazing how a spectacular performance at the Historical 2010 World Cup in South Africa and a golden goal he scored against the USA can make a difference. Congratulations
