MY PROFILE

Joel Morgan is a gospel artist with a unique diversified mantle in main stream Praise and Worship, Gospel R&B, Reggae and the likes. Joel has a contemporary flair of most renowned gospel artist in the likes of Tonex, Pastor Donnie McClurkin, and Bishop Paul Morton; just to mention but a few.

Joel started his singing career at the age of 12; somewhere in the 80’s and since then, he has developed his musical talent to qualify as one of the best main stream gospel artist of our time.

In the year 1999, Joel formed an acapella group called “The Chariot’s of Fire”. Served as an assistant choir director to the Assemblies of God Campus Ministries in his second year at the University of Ghana Legon in 2001. As a song writer, composer and arranger, Joel has featured in four major gospel albums here in the US and Ghana besides assisting in composing and arranging songs for other artists. His maiden debut dubbed “Meyi Waye Daa” was released in 2007 and it was incredibly successful. Joel is currently working on a second album which is due to be released by the end of the year.

Joel has an insatiable passion for music of all types but particularly those that bring fulfillment to the human soul. He sleeps with music and wakes up with music. A musical genius, Joel presently serves as Assistant Director of music at the Vision International Ministries in Inglewood, in the State of California, where his father and mother serve as Senior Pastors.  To God be the glory for how far He’s brought me in my career.

Zion (track #5)

Zion is a reggae track on my album which has attracted a tremendous attention among every race, color, creed or ethnicity in the State of California and elsewhere in the United States. This song is just about to hit the air waves of Ghana and I’m convinced beyond reasonable doubt it will be a blessing to my Ghanaian people. A little synopsis about “Zion” The word Zion typifies the “Church” and every Christian who believes in God. This song came to me at a very taught time in my life where I needed to turn to only God and I sought consolation from the book of Psalms 125 vs.1 “Those that trust in the Lord shall be like Mount Zion which cannot be moved but abide forever” so I patterned my personal experience into the lyrics of the songs to share with others who were possibly and are still going through the same experience I encountered even in my Christian walk.
